The Cohort

Building Benefits-Based Accountability—One School, One District at a Time

Cohorts are where the real transformation happens. They bring structure, momentum, and deep support to the process of building Benefits-Based Accountability systems across schools and districts.

Working in a Cohort gives leaders:

  • A clear roadmap
  • Powerful tools and frameworks
  • Ongoing coaching and collaboration

Paired with the bravEd Handbook and additional resources, Cohorts provide everything needed to create systems that are meaningful, trustworthy, and rooted in leadership—not policy mandates.

How It Works
  • National Cohorts begin each fall and run for two years
  • We meet nine times per school year for 90-minute virtual sessions
  • Participants commit to a weekly 30-minute effort, supported by bravEd coaches
  • Large districts or networks may launch custom Cohorts
  • By the end, each school and district will have the capacity to account for their work in powerful new ways. This capacity is often described by participants as nothing short of transformational.

The Cohort experience is included with the Teams Membership. Leaders at the Base or Pro levels are welcome to upgrade at any time to join a Cohort and fully engage in the process.
