Subgroups gives you the option of generating reports for a portion of your organization.
Once subgroups is selected, create enough subgroups so that every participant will be assigned to one.
While you could build subgroups around roles, the Inventory will automatically produce a number of role-based results. Subgroups are most useful for organizational divisions, e.g., schools, marketing, sales, etc.
Subgroup reports will only be generated when their are five or more participants. If fewer than five, participants input will still reflect in the group report, but no subgroup report will be generated.
There is no limit to the number of subgroups in an Inventory. However, each respondent will only be reported in a single subgroup.
